World Water Day 22nd March

International Water Day was celebrated by Singhania Law College in collaboration with District Legal Authority. Secretory of Inner Wheel Club Ms. Asha Jain gave a speech on importance of water. Dr. JK Chapparwal discussed that excess exploitation of water is causing increase in diseases of teeth and bones. In this event the chief guest was Honorable Judicial Officer Ms. Renu Motvani and Special Guest was Mr. Ratan Singh Rao, Member of Bar Council of Rajasthan.
World Water Day is an international observance day. The intention is to inspire people around the world to learn more about water-related issues and to take action to make a difference.
Relevant issues include water scarcity, water pollution, inadequate water supply, lack of sanitation, and the impacts of climate change. The day brings to light the inequality of access to wash services and the need to assure the human right to water and sanitation.

Legal Aid Clinic Inauguration 2nd April 2019

Honourable Former Justice of Rajasthan High Court, Mr. Ram Chandra Singh Jhala inaugurated Legal Aid Clinic in Singhania Law College. The program was organised by Singhania Law college under the care of Secretory District Legal Service Authority, Udaipur Ms. Riddhima Sharma (ADJ).
According to Ms. Riddhima Sharma, this Legal Aid Clinic is first of its kind where underclass will get Justice of their case.
The importance of Legal Aid and Awareness Campaigns as a mechanism for social progress is something that has been repeatedly stressed upon by the Government of India. In the backdrop of Poverty and Inequality, Legal Aid is an effective way towards attainment of the ideals of ‘social, economic and political justice’ enshrined in the preamble of our Constitution and under the Directive Principles of State Policy. Imparting legal awareness is the first step towards ensuring prompt and effective access to justice. Keeping this in mind, the Bar Council of India mandated all law colleges and universities in India to establish and run legal aid centers or clinics. The objective was to fulfill certain standards of legal education, but more importantly, it also aimed at engaging the students in serving their community by promoting legal awareness through these legal aid clinics and programs.

Moot Court Inauguration 26th April 2019

Three high court judges gave lecture in Moot Court Inauguration ceremony.
Mr. Govind Mathur, the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court inaugurated the Moot Court Hall of Singhania Law College on 26th April, 2019. Chairman of Uttarakhand Law Commission Mr. Justice Rajesh Tandon attended the function as special Guest. Former Justice of Rajasthan High Court Mr. Ram Chandra Singh Jhala was also present on the occasion as a special guest.
The Moot Court is basically an activity that is followed for enhancing the presentation and argument skills of students. It helps students to equip themselves to the standards of the society. To participate actively one should have the confidence and should be a generalist i.e. one should analyze the facts of the case in the general point of view with regard to the subject of the case and learn to apply the law to the facts of the case. Students are expected to be a specialist in Law dealing with that particular subject, and be thorough with the latest case law and interpretation by the Supreme Court and the High Courts to get a better grip over the case or the position of the case.
In a Moot court a hypothetical case is given to the students and they are allowed to argue the given case. Moot Court helps the students of law in many ways since it is a sort of practical legal training, which helps to build analytical reasoning, legal aptitude, team building skills and above all make them responsive.

‘Hindi Pakahwada’ organized in Singhania Law College

The closing ceremony of “Rajbhasha Pakhwada” was organized by Singhania Law College, Udaipur on 30/09/2021. Prof. Colonel S. S. Sarangdevot, Vice-Chancellor, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Udaipur Rajasthan was the chief guest on this occasion and the program was presided over by Justice Kuldeep Sutrakar, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority On this occasion ‘Post Stamp’ on the name of Singhania Law College issued by the Postal Department of the Government of India was released. On this occasion, the famous poet Shri Rao Ajatashatru recited three excellent poems on the subject of Hindi. Humor poetry and Veer Ras poems were read by other poets like Ekta Arya, Shri Manoj Gurjar, Shri Brajraj also senior journalist Shri Ugrasen Rao also talked about saving the Hindi language.

Students of Singhania Law College visited Constitution Park

On Saturday 26.02.22, the students and faculty members of Singhania Law College visited Constitution Park located in the Mohan Lal Sukhadia University campus. Under the guidance of Udaipur District Inspector General of Police Shri Hinglaj Dan Charan and Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. America Singh Ji
Mohanlal Sukhadia University, students shared information about their rights and duties as provided in the Constitution. The Managing Director of the
college, Dr. Ashok Acharya was also present. Describing the features of the Constitution Park, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor expressed his opinion that it is the first Constitution Park in the country which is unique. A Constitution Pillar has been built in this park, on which the Preamble of the Constitution, Fundamental Rights, and Fundamental Duties is made. The information has been engraved on the Constitution Pillar, and a vivid illustration of the information related to our freedom struggle has also been presented. On this occasion, the principal of the college, Dr. Bhupendra Kumawat, staff and students were present.

Central Jail, Udaipur visit by the students of Singhania Law College

On Saturday 12.03.2022, the students of Singhania Law College got information about the functioning of the Central Jail at Udaipur. The Principal of the institute, Dr. Bhupendra Kumawat, expressed gratitude to the Superintendent of the Central Jail, Udaipur Mr. Rajendra Ji Bairwa, and Jailor Mr. Omkar Lal Joshi and Mr. Hemant Salvi for giving permission to the students. The Jail Superintendent first shared general information related to the jail and jail manual with the students. The students greatly benefited from the information received by the Jail superintendent.

Conducting Moot Court Room

On 14th May 2022, the Sessions Court acquitted the accused of dowry death by giving the benefit of the doubt in the criminal case of State vs Navneet. In
Singhania Law College, a moot court trial was conducted on the criminal case of dowry death based on imaginary facts. Dr. Bhupendra Kumawat, Principal of the institution, while explaining the importance of the Moot Court, expressed that it is mandatory for all law students to participate in the Moot Court and

Students of Singhania Law College participated in the ” Indian Youth Parliament “

Like every year, the ” Indian Youth Parliament ” program was organized in Udaipur city by the Media Foundation on the 4th and 5th June 2022 on the theme of ‘Democracy and Dialogue’. Hon’ble Dr. C.P. Joshi (President, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly), Shri Harivansh Narayan Kumar (Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha), Shri Parag Dorji Sona (President, Arunachal Pradesh), Shri Thokchom Radheshyam (Former Education Minister, Manipur), Shri Arun Chaturvedi, Shri S.S. Sarangdevot and Shri Jagdeep Dhangar (Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal) was the chief guest in this program. Sameer Samuel David, a third-year student of the college, Sapna Meena, and Manisha Prajapat of the first year participated in the program and learn about the fundamentals of democracy and the importance of parliamentary democracy, also participate in the discussion on the Ukraine and Russia war, and its impact on world peace and topics like ‘ Peasant protests in agricultural laws’.
